Green Beans in Qadisha Grove Olive Oil
This simple recipe brings out all the wonderful flavors of the oil in a savory side dish.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Oleavanti Qadisha Grove Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and extra for drizzling at the end
- 2 medium white onions diced (2 cups)
- 1 lb. green beans fresh or frozen, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
Directions
- In a medium pot over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
- Add the onions and sauté until translucent and softened, about 7 minutes.
- Add the green beans, sprinkle with salt, and cook covered on medium heat for 40 minutes.
- Remove the lid and let cook on low heat for an additional 10 minutes to reduce the leftover liquid.
- Stir in the black pepper and garnish with scallions.
- Transfer to a serving plate. Serve warm or cold with an extra drizzle of Oleavanti Qadisha Grove olive oil and enjoy with pita bread, and scallions.
